This rifle seems to be type A, originally. The mum has been completely removed. So, what should I select?

Ok. With a little more elbow grease (and a small nail through the hole), the cleaning rod screwed out. It's about 4 7/8" long.

Got a new Type 99 today, this one a Series 24. Got a couple of questions about this though.
First, the stock seems very unfinished, almost like cut with a draw knife. Posting a couple of pictures. ...

I'm still bummed out because I'm going to miss it. Can't find a place to offload the kids.
