my ebay t-99 series 1 short rifle arrived the other day, still needs cleaning from many years in the closet. in a nutshell we have:
t-99 series 1 short rifle #30304 nagoya arsenal
matching bolt to barrel, reciever and bayo lug. all four numbered parts of the bolt match. early type cleaning rod is somewhat narrower than no series rod, same length. monopod band, no evidance of a pod ever being installed. dust cover is a mis-match. slightly different rear sling swivel than no series, transition from no series to series 1? i just gotta get the BOOK! here is another attempt at pics.

Nice rifle, it gets a little addictive. There are 2 variations in Front sight guards and rear swivels in the Nagoya 0 series, and 2 variations in rear swivels in the 1st series. Thanks for posting. Trey

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!
