Guess the significance of this Arisaka...









Very early Kokura 2nd series Type 38 Carbine. I happen to have a very late Tokyo Type 38 Carbine. I'll try and get some pictures of it to compare to.

Very cool. Made by Kokura from parts transferred from the Tokyo Army Arsenal. Very low number.

The current low number reported is 9901. The high for a TAA-manufactured T-38 carbine is still 209066. Thus, there is now only 835 serial numbers separating the production runs.

I'd love to get detailed photos of a very late TAA carbine and an early Kokura carbine and compare the inspection marks. Might prove very interesting indeed.

Hummm..... I don't see it and don't have that number recorded. Maybe you could just send me the details. Especially the final inspection stamps if you can read them.
