Bought this as part of a package deal. Note the large (Type B) recoil bolt that previously had only been noted on early 25th Series rifles. At first, I though someone had switched the original stock with a Nagoya equivalent, however, the wrist chatter tended to discount that possibility. There are no proofs on the stock or any metal parts, except for the matching numbered bolt.

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

Chip, I think they dropped the inspection marks by this time. That is unmistakably Kokura style chatter...If it were TJK there would be inspection marks I think.

Thaks Trey. Yes, dropping inspection markings would make sense. The painted stock markings read "sei" 2 of 34. No idea what the "sei" means, expect possibly an abbreviation.

Chip, thanks for posting. There is a high percentage of 24th and 25th series rifles with stock markings. Alot of 6th's and 7th's too. I never seem to have any money when one is available...

Trey - if you send me a PM with your email address, I'll forward .pdfs of both pages of the datasheet. It's ready to go.
