Is there any way to tell specifically what year your rifle was made? The best I have been able to do is between 1939 and 1945. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

There is no reall way to pin down an actual date, best to be hoped for on 99s is a 2 year margin of error due to conflicts over whether production actually started in 1939 or 1940. I assume your rifle is a type 99. Series Id would narrow it down a little bit. Thanks for posting. Trey
