Bought this nice little guy a couple of years ago with it's original holster. The holster has a stamp in the flap that reads "Army Infantry Captain Miyake Katsumi". Since then I've been trying to find information on this officer. So far I've learned that he graduated from Army Officers School in July of 1929 and assumed duties later that same year. If any of y'all know how to find out more about this fellow I'd sure like to hear from you!

Thanks '03! Those three rounds are different variations as well. One is friction held, one is segment crimped (most common), and one has the three stab crimps. Still need a dummy round!
Also, that 200 yen note would have bought this pistol with some change back. Ah, for a time machine!!

Wasn't 200 yen about the equivalent of 1-3 months salary? Seems like that is mentioned in HCoIJ or MRPoJ. Again, that is not a Nagoya, so....you know the routine. Trey

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

Exactly, even now this note is quite valuable. Not as valuable as the Baby, but... I know it's not a Nagoya, but then it's not a rifle either! Very Happy

All the more reason to act quickly so as not to have your reputation sullied and besmirched. Wink Trey

Nice try, but this is a keeper! I didn't think you did pistols anyway?
Here's a Nagoya fer ya. Both matching mags and the spare matching firing pin.

I don't much like pistols, but I've bought them over the years when there were no rifles to buy. I'll try and get some pictures of some of them this week and post them. Trey
