I picked up this ammo box the other day and it has these marking on the hinges.
The 2nd anchor mark is from the Maizuro naval arsenal. Is the first mark just a standard Navy mark?

Got an answer to this from another collector,
The anchor on the left side of the hinge is the symbol issued by the Navy for the OSAKA ARMY ARSENAL. Osaka was a major munitions producer for the Navy along with the Maizuro Naval Arsenal. The double sysmbols indicate the contents of the box was produced by both of the arsenals. _________________ strangms |
