Could this be a second class circle or zero? I just saw the same thing on a bolt handle from a 6th series that I just got. If so, what's with the dot since both of these have the dot, I can't think i ...

Ok, now for a different question. This is a nice looking, ground 22 series. Missing rod, cover, and wings - just as it should be if stripped for metal. Not staked, but it's been a while since it wa ...

Thanks guys. Given the dark color and the poor condition of the sling I'll give it a try.

Thanks.

Any suggestions on trying to preserve it given the extreme brittleness of the leather?

I just got a matching late series 35 (T99) serial 43478. Both the firing pin and extractor are number to match the rifle (478). According to the T99 these should be unnumbered. Is this something th ...

The receiver looks fine. The metal looks gray, sorry can't get a picture from down the barrel that shows it. It's soft as I was able to get a sharp probe into it by hand. I was thinking lead, but c ...
