Was admiring my one & only T-K long last night & just happened to notice that they, indeed, numbered the bolt catch with the assembly number. It's on the inside upper edge of the part. Sure hard to take a photo of! Here are a few photos of this rifle. The assy. no. is 848 & some of it is poorly stamped but on all the usual parts. In the photo of the bolt catch the number is upside down.

Indeed, I see a lot of similarities between TK Longs and Type 38 specification. Neat Rifles!!

Yes they are and it's kinda fun to find something, like this bolt catch number, that hasn't been noticed before.

Good eye, its amazing what you can overlook even when you've gone over and over and over it. I've mentioned the 29th series with no arsenal mark that took me a few days to notice. There was also the Izzy 9, I was excited about the 'D' receiver, never notice the great big patch in the stock until the shootout. Trey

Yep, my TK long has the same stamping of its assembly number in that in side location and I never noted it there either. Good eye!

That 29th with no arsenal proof cracks me up everytime you mention it.."what arsenal is it?,Duh Nagoya" over and over,till "oops,it aint got no arsenal thingy!!! "

I checked my early 30th series T-K just for grins and it is not numbered in this manner. Go figure Shocked
