Hi,
I recently picked up a Type 38 carbine (matching at that!) for $150, but the catch was that it was missing the buttplate and rear stock swivel for the sling. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find such items? I mean, I can probably fabricate them myself and blue them but I would rather have authentic IJA parts.
Thanks! |

common parts someone should have them for sale, try the auction sites ,ebay, gunbroker and such..often the cheapest route is a sporter stock often available for $5-10 with the parts you need, also check the for sale ads at gunboards.com/forums the japanese collectors forum there has a excellent sale site too.to be exactly right, you'll need to figure out which carbine you have ,series and arsenal to make sure you get proper parts and then will possibly have to "fine tune " them to fit your gun..interchangeability wasnt perfect in the T-38's,close but not exact. |
