This is just one of those neat things that you sometimes see and just have to have. No idea who/what/where/when or why. It just is. Its wooden, reasonable real looking. I assume its some sort of trainer, just never seen one before. No markings other than the butt area, E. Tull.
In all pretty neat, Got any ammo or a bayonet?

The US turned out wooden 1903 Springfield copies for use by schools to train boys in schools. We had them where I went to school and I wanted to march with one. But the war ended when it did and had it lasted into the fall of 1945 I would been old enough to drill with one.
