I'm posting up the data sheet on my newest type 38 (to see if I can figure it out).

Thanks for posting the data sheet. I now have the information recorded and I appreciate your help with the on-going research. These Jinsen T-38s are VERY hard to find. The highest serial number known remains 12881.

Fill out a Japanese Rifle Datasheet.
I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

Thanks to both of you.
You might remember my only other Japanese rifle, which is the Kuang Hsu
Type 30 that I posted a couple of years ago.
It seems kind of weird to wind up with two fairly obscure rifles, when they actually don't fit in my small collection at all.
Regards,W
P.S.--Frank, How many of these Jinsens do you have in your catalog?

86 have been reported to date, plus 34 earlier and rarer training rifle T-38s. That is pretty high survival rate. I understand that a lot were shipped to Japan and pickup there at the end of WWII.
