Ok I had this rifle come into my shop. Story is it was bring back from Saipan. Looks like original sling. Bolt and dust cover bolt marked 314 and last three digits on rifle are 327. Can you guys help me ID what I have besides the obvious type 38 and give me an approximate value?

Without pictures its hard to say. I would guess a trainer. But it might be something else. Got any pictures? _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

It does appear to be a captured Type 38. Very cool.

The pics are thumbnail sized, if you can email me full sized ones, I'll post them. Looks like a Tokyo Type 38 Long rifle. What is the number on the bayonet lug? Please fill out a Type 38 Datasheet and send to Frank Allan. Every little bit helps. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
