looking for help posted on gb but got no response.
sword with bamboo case?
when were bamboo cases used?
were they used on post war souvenirs?
also two hand carved weapons?
any idea what these might be
1 when were bamboo cases used?
2 also listed are two hand carved weapons, any idea what kind of weapons these might be?
also they say there is a suitcase full of war souvenirs, unfortunately
there no pictures of anything.
this auction will be held sat 29 aug
any help on what to look for is appreciated.
I will be going to wach the sword with bamboo case.

Mike, if you're talking about the plain wooden 'fittings'...I think those were like storage or travel mounts so the nice fittings didn't get messed up. I don't know a lot about swords. Never been able to afford them. Ronin48 has best advice. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I don't see any hand carved anythings. Send them to me in an email if you can't post them. I would think that I was from the Philippines, Spanish bolo type blade about the ;length of a machete |
