Hello, I am looking for some information about this rifle I got it looks to have been sporterize. The only markings on the rifle is the serial number of H2737 it has a 30.25 inch barrel and is 50.25 inches long I think the caliber is 6.5 Japanese not sure. Bill, sounds like you have a Japanese Type I rifle, it was a contract rifle for the Japanese by Italy. Email me some pics to confirm. Trey (gstancil@ncpsolutions.com)

Thanks for the help I took it out and shot it today and am not displease at all it shot point of aim close and thats good thanks again.I shot it ten times just to be sure. 6.5 Japanese 140 grain Hornady.
