Hi Trey,
I have Fred's book, but can't find what the S stamp on the left side of early T-38 receivers means. An auction site said it was Chinese, but I don't think so. thanks, Jim |

There are two theories: The 'S' stamp is a considered to be an indication of who made the barrel, there is some discussion that the barrels were produced by European companys and the 'S', 'B', or 'T' indicate which one. The other theory is it was just the Japanese inspection mark at the time. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
