The Japanese imported numerous Colt Model 1851 percussion revolvers and they received the required Japanese registration markings. I am aware of serial numbers 16336, 51212, 147615 and 153103.

A couple of years ago the Model 1851 appearing in the attached photos was put up for auction. Did anyone here purchase this revolver or know its serial number?

Does anyone have another 1851 not mentioned here? This research is for an upcoming book on Japanese imported weapons from the approxmiate period of 1850-1900. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
