I don't know if I have posted this before. I was looking at some things this morning and came across my dad's cut down Japanese bayonet. He found it in the philippines it was a battlefield pick up but was not in real good condition when he found it, So he cut the blade down to about 10 inches and made it double edge. He said at one time it had a Philippine native made leather scabbard but it rotted in the tropical conditions. He used it to open C-ration cans to keep from ruining the edge on his good knife

don't think I've seen it here before,it is pretty neat though, and priceless in my opinion. I've seen pictures of island machine shops with signs saying basically we aren't making any more knives. Thanks for posting it. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
