Some time ago I purchased a junk T-26 that had been partially stripped for parts. It is a Nagoya-marked re-work so it is a pretty interesting revolver even in only fair condition. Don Schlickman was able to supply all of the metal missing parts, but the grips were a problem. Luckily a friend came through with damaged pair of serrated grips.
The right grip was OK, but the complicated left grip had a lot of rot damage on the interior surface and on the bottom. That area literally felt wet to the touch and crumbled when handled. I decided to do a somewhat drastic amount of surgery. I cut out the rotted area and replaced it with a hand-carved walnut insert. It took many hours and an enormous amount of patience, but came out pretty well. The pictures tell it all.

Thanks guys. It was a surprising amount of work, but was worth it in the end.
I am still working on my Siamese Mauser carbine stock. That may take forever! No more stocks - sorry!
