I picked up a rifle sling with Japanese characters. My wife was able to translate the first one as 'cannonade or bombardment'. The second character looks like a house & we can't find the meaning of it. The others translate to '239'. I believe its a Unit marking, but not sure.
Is there a source I can go to for Unit markings in both Japanese & English.

Any help Question

I don't know of any reference, J Hawk used to ease through here pretty regularly to check for translation stuff, but I don't think I generate enough traffic to keep him interested. You might try posting pictures on gunboards Japanese forum, he and some of those guys might be able tp tell you something more. Trey
