The 2 museums here have 2 interesting pieces. One is a T44 (no bayo) with a well beaten dark stained stock. It sits in a huge plexiglass case, so there was no way to ID it beyond seeing an intact mum. The other is a T99 last ditch Toyo Kogyo series 35 #4084 with ground mum. Condition appears good; there is no upper hand guard. The notes on them say they were taken on Attu, but I'd say maybe on the 44, no way on the 99.

That's an interesting combination to have been taken on Attu. The 35th would not have been produced until late 1944, early/mid 1945. Thanks for posting. Trey
