Recently picked this mummed 31st series (M/M bolt) up last weekend at the allentown PA show after drooling over it for the past several shows. I have some other cool damaged pieces but this is by far the best and one of the neatest Ive seen, so Im very happy to own it. Its got a nice elongated hole throught the buttstock that blows out a significant portion of the wood on the other side. there is a decent size hunk of copper (or some alloy) bullet jacket sticking out of the stock just behind the rear band, that will give you a good scratch if youre not careful. The most noticeable is the front end where a fragment or projectile went through the wood, blew out the cleaning rod and bottom of the stock, then creased and distorted to monopod, making a twisted mess of things.
