I received an Arisaka 99 from a widow of a friend of mine who was stationed in Japan after WWII and I was wondering if you guys might have some information about the value of it. I think it is a series 35 and it might be a last ditch rifle.It also has amber colored jewels imbedded in the stock. No one can tell me what is up with these.I am including some pictures. Thanks for any help.

I only see links to photos, no photos.

It is a 35th series rifle. Early 4 digit serial number. I don't see any inlays.

I see it now. I'd guess just something sparkly added to enhance trade value. Not originally arsenal installed sort of thing.
