Each year I try and place something from my collection in our local county fair. This year was my U.S. Type 99, Cal. .30. Didn't do too bad if I may say so (yes, I bragging). Division is "Historical & Artifacts" and then sub division is "Military Arms". Took 2nd place in the Division (won $40) and 1st in sub-division (no funds just a ribbon). Lost the Division to a small collection of WWI German helmets. Here a few photos of my entry.

very nice. It's good that we participate at all levels. I'm setting up a display at the Veteran's Day Scout Meeting. A little knowledge goes a long way. Thanks for posting!
