A little info that most of you may already have found out, but I just tested some stripper clips to see if they'd work in my new 99.
I had a handful of aluminum French 7.5's laying around which work ok, but tend to be a little stiff on the last round.
Then I tried some of my 6.5 Swedes and they work as though they were made for the rifle. (at least they do with my reformed and trimmed '06-cased 7.7 reloads.)
I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever find a decent clip for these.

HP, thanks for the confirmation, I had heard that Swede clips would work but never tried it. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Just found out that Sportsman's guide has Swede strippers at $50.00 for 400.
That's about the best deal I've seen. They even com in a battle pack and in cardboard boxes. If they're like the ones I've bought before, they're excellent quality, and I believe they're made from stainless steel.

P.S.
They also work real slick in a 1917 Enfield!
