|
|
I was trying to clean up some of the rust on my knee mortar and need a little help.
How do I remove the Elevating-knob retaining nut on a type 89 knee mortar?
I believe that If I can get the pedestal off from the base, then I can clean up the gear.
Is the pedestal right hands treads?
Thanks

Well after a lot of thinking, I was able to get the elevating knob shaft retaining sleeve off.
It screws off by going counter clock wise.

strangms, I didn't have a clue, and was gunshowing all weekend, thanks for sharing. I'll know for the next one. Did not find anything to buy but did meet Miss T and Co. from Treasure Hunt Arms and several other nice people. A gunshow is still a major social event for us collectors so we have a good time even when we don't find anything to buy. Trey |

Trey,
I agree with you 100%
It's worth a lot to be with Good friends and to meet collectors who share the same interest as you do.
