Very nice, thanks for taking the time to share them. The monuments are powerfully touching, and the pole mounted bayonet is just neat! So much history to absorb and so little time to do it in. I'd like to tour the islands, but I fear it is cost prohibitive on my budget. Thanks again for taking to time to share these pictures with us. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Swiss, when were these pics taken? I've been on and off the rock since 1973 and have seen the great things that the Japanese have done to honor those who gave all for what they believed in. I love the under ground headquarters and Peace park is really something isn't it. I had the honor of attending the 50th anniversary back in 1995. To see the men you fought each other attend this ceremony together as men who respected each other and to honor those who fell is something I’ll never forget. |
