I saw this at the gunshow, owner asked me what it was, all I could think to say was, "I don't know, but its not mine and I wish it were." He stated it was sent back during the war by a relative and given to his father, no other information is available. I thought maybe some sort of building ornament. It is very heavy, Not sure if its brass/bronze/or iron. There may have been a stud or screw on the back for afixing to a building or structure. Appears to be the Mitsubishi logo on the back.


The resident geological expert was playing with his belly button and lamenting the loss of his favorite 'han-gernade' and refused to comment. Can anyone identify this object?
