Here is an interesting field repair for the shoulder strap ring attachments on a papa nambu holster, they appear to be period canvas:

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

That is a very interesting repair & I see they retained the original rings. You should sent photos of it to Teri Bryant.
These Papa holsters are very hard to find these days & harder yet to find is the Papa cleaning rod. This is my only Papa, but at least it's a full rig. I was recently able to add the matching mag to this pistol so now it's fully matched except for one grip.

Rob, I think I sent Teri pictures a few years ago. If I haven't I can. Since that papa's not a Nagoya, I'll trade you the Nagoya pouch for it....I'd throw in a little boot, (in fact a pair, size 6, Weldon is a 12 in cowboy boots now) Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

Many years ago 83-85? there was an article in B'ZAI on a rebuilt Papa holster, new ammo pocket flap, etc. After several years I ended up with it in a trade? Japanese or post-war US it's and excellent job of repair.
If the grasshopper could give clear directions on posting photos I would do so, but when he gets off on mega pixciles or ptiffs/whatever, no one can follow him. Like me explaining the relationship between plate tectonics, amphibolites and metagraywhacke. Clear as mud. |

for adding pictures here,
click 'new topic' for a new topic, or 'post reply' to reply to a previous post
type in your text,
go to a new line (hit enter)
click 'add image to post' (found below the white box)
a small window will pop up, if it doesn't you need to 'allow popups' on your browser.
at 'choose image file' box click 'browse', find the file on your pc
click on it
click 'open'
click 'upload it'
wait a few minutes (if on dial up)
the 'upload' window will close returning you to the message
click 'submit' below (to the right of preview). If you click preview, you still have to scroll down and click submit, or you will lose all your hard work.
And the 'missing link' appears. Is it a man? Is it a slug? A national treasure? I know what my vote is.... _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
