I have a type 99, series 37, that I want to learn more about.
When I disassembled the rifle to fill out the data sheets I found the number 34 stamped on the bottom of the barrel and also on the stud on the bottom of the receiver. What is the significance of these numbers?
They do not appear to be related to the serial number (53xxx). All of the other numbers and inspection marks appear to my untrained eye to be consistent.
Thanks |

Welcome to the forum, those numbers are a separate sub-assembly number, used when barrel/receivers were fitted to each other. Thanks for posting. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
Fill out a Japanese Rifle Datasheet.
I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
