Dang, these are hard to find! Just picked up one I needed - it's a Nagoya marked cover for the second & third variation. I already had a nice Kokura marked example. Now I just need one for my 1st variation carbine. In these photos the Kokura cover is topmost and in the third photo the Nagoya is on the left, with Kokura on the right. You can see several differences in the way they were made.

Rob, those are nice. I have two, one with Nagoya inspection marks, and one with both Kokura and Nagoya inspection marks. I was thinking I had posted pictures of them, but maybe I haven't. I'll try and post them for compare/contrast. Thanks for posting. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Very interesting to have both marks on one! The marks on mine are very small and are on the end cap. I've gotta get a macro lens for stuff like this. _________________ "A woman, a dog & and a walnut tree. The more ya beat em, the better they be" (From "The Red Bagde of Courage") |
