Welcome to the forum! I haven't seen any grenade boxes, but I have seen a box that holds rounds for the Type 89 knee mortar. I'll try and get some pictures of it the next time I see it. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Try and get your hands on "Japanese Infantry Weapons Vol. 1" from the "The Combat Bookself" and published by the Normout Armament Company. Frist printing was Sept. 1966 and I have the third printing of July 1968. It has photos on the packing box for the Model 91 grenade, differnt views of packing boxs for the Model 89 round, packing box for the Type-89 fuze as well as a few others. The photos in book are dark so I don't think they would scan very well or even print that well either. Keep on ePay and the book is for sale there from time to time. |

Thanks Dale, I'd forgotten about that, I'll try and dig mine out if it hasn't been used as a coloring book. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

Speaking of ordnance - I recently picked up this nice 37mm round with it's protective fuse cover intact.

Thanks Don! It is a perfect match for the only powder bag I have - right down to the year & month made. This one powder bag example is not nearly as nice as your examples but does look good with this round. _________________ "A woman, a dog & and a walnut tree. Boy, that is nice. I can't find any of my older books on Japanese weapons, I expect my Father 'borrowed' them. I'll have to check. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
