Actually, on the Arisakas side of the house there were at least three nice Type-99's, two Type-38's and one Type-30. Down side was all sellers where REAL proud of what they had. The one Type-38 was complete with mum and dust cover (bolt and cover matched to each other) but not to serial number and seller had not had it apart to check assembly number, it sold with the $300 price tag. The other one was mis-matched, grounded, no cleaning rod and some kind of web sling that was suspect with a asking price of $350. The Type-30 was missing the cleaning rod, had a chuck of wood missing by the front barrel band and was Tokyo cancelled out with a price of $375. The best Type-99 was a substitute (series was too dirty to tell) with mum and mis-match bolt with a price of $300. Both the other two were in the $300 price range. |
