I picked up a series 8 last weekend. While taking out a broken trigger guard screw, I noticed that the stock ferrules were missing. When I replaced them, the screws would not line up with the receiver. Did they make this series without stock ferrules?

I haven't taken many apart, but one of mine has the forward two (towards muzzle) still in place. I can't tell about the rear most. The guard tang will shape itself under tension for a better fit....I always start the middle screw, the front, then rear, the rear band screw, and tighten from there. Trey
