Barring anything changing,I wont be there this year, settling my dads final affairs and such and sorting out everything, along with dealing with the loss, anyway I dont see a couple thousand mile road trip in the budget or the timing, much as Id love to be there with ya'all ...so Im probably shooting for next year (and a visit down south sometime over the next few months, just to escape from here and see my friends).Have fun guys and take lots of pictures for us guys that cant be there..Dave |

Trey, not going to make it this year for the number of reason but the big one is that I'll be on travel this week prior to the shoot out up in Maryland. Don't get back till late Friday night. Please tell Bobby and all that I sure wish I could be up north visiting with ya'l instead of working waaaaaay up north. |

I may bring a few 6.5 Infantry Rifles (6.5 Walking Spear) in various stages of disrepair (no bolts, some other parts missing) would probably trade for Orignal Japanese cleaning rods or complete Type 38 bolts. Still not sure if I'm going up Thursday late or Friday morning. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I too will miss this year's edition. I had shoulder replacement surgery yesterday. No cars, shooting, lifting, beer or any distasteful kind of work for a few weeks. Tried to get the operation scheduled for after the shoot, but was lucky to get in at all. Hope every one has a great time. Has anyone heard how Shannon is doing?

Just got back, let the 'batteries' charge overnight, did a little research, all i can say is Wow! If you didn't go, you really missed out. Some notable offerings:
12-14 mixed Type 14 and 94 singles, and rigs from $250 - $850
12 or so individual Type 14 holsters
2 Type 44 carbines
Jinsen 38
several other 'pearls of the orient'
2 very nice Type 38 long rifles
1 very nice Type 38 Carbine (with sling)
2 papa nambus: 1st Navy Contract, and 1st Tokyo Contract
15 various trench and military knives
1900 colt with intact sight safety
4-1902 Colt Military and Civillian models
Thick nambu holster waist belt
Several various smaller caliber colts
a survival rifle
Osaka bayonet
several other very nice bayonets from $50 - $125
a 'Camp Rucker' trench art bowl dated 1945 several other things I heard about but missed out on seeing before they sold and got loaded up.
Attendees from all over dropped in, TN, PA, NC, IA, GA, AL to name a few. Also a 'flying chicken'. A few youngsters went through 3000 rounds of .22 ammunition. Food offerings included Hamburgers, Hotdogs, 'apple pie', 'banana split pie,' and 'moon pie'. As always the topics of discussion varied, 10 overnight full-time attendees and 50 or so daytime visitors.
The typical Japanese weapons were available for shooting, along with a BAR, British Sterling, MP-40, various world sniper rifles, 97 trenchgun, and more moderm weapons than you could wave an empty box of cartridges at. A great time was had by all, and we're already planning for next year, so 'keep your iron handy, and your powder dry!'. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

After a 'light' rain, we discovered that a tent had been pitched in the middle of the 'blevins family swimmin hole', Don kindly waded in to the rescue, no major casualties.
If you have any other pictures, post them or email them to me. I found my camera friday, and didn't see it again until this morning. So these are the only two I have. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
