Here is my display (award winning!) from the CASC show this weekend.
Type 2 Rifles, Bayonets, and Combat knife with other accessories.
Judge's Choice
My Display, sort of a Quasi Japanese Paratrooper themed display.

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Trey, very nice display! I was told years ago that the very late type 2's had spoke shaved/chatter stocks. Have you heard this or ever seen one? |

Jareth, thanks. I haven't seen one with spoke shave (Nagoya) like that, but I think the highest I've seen was about 17 or 18k. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I just reread my post, the (award winning) is not bragging, it was a surprise! This show doesn't usually give out display awards, so we are normally out all of the expenses of setting up. There is free parking and coffee though! Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

Jareth, I have seen a couple of these "spoke shave" T-2 stocks over the years. I have one, #13908, mummed, matching with cover and staked screws. The other one I remember seeing was in the 18k range.
Do you plan on being at the Allentown show in Oct. I am hoping to be there. Will probably be a last minute decision.
Trey, Very nice display as usual. |
