Top to bottom,
Nagoya 2nd series 3rd Variation 6k range
Nagoya 2nd series 3rd Variation 2k range
Kokura 1st series 3rd Variation 8k range
Kokura 1st series 3rd Variation 5k range
Kokura/Tokyo No series 3rd Variation 67k range (very rare)
Kokura/Tokyo No series 2rd Variation 64k range
Kokura/Tokyo No series 2rd Variation 60k range
Tokyo No series 1st Variation 32k range
Tokyo No series 1st Variation 25k range
The little 'floater' in the punch bowl at the bottom that sort of 'squeezed in' is a Nagoya 5th series 38 Carbine in the 5k range. None of the above, seemingly 'duplicates' are identical, they are all different in some feature, even other than serial number. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Trey,
Very nice collection of Type 44's! You are only four ahead of me . However, I believe that you need to send one of those second variations to me for an in-depth study I am doing on these types. You have my address.

Nice type 44's! Their my favorite too! So you need nine muzzle covers, nine slings & nine sets of cleaning rods! |

Only 7 or 8 sets of cleaning rods, and 6 or 7 slings. I do appear to be a bit short on muzzle covers though. Thanks for you comments. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I have a T44 that is trainer overstamped. Anyone ever seen one of those? I'm thinking a upper class school for the wealthy. Doug |

I haven't seen one of those. That would be a neat find! I still need a Nagoya '0' series, and decent one from the China Campaign, although decent and China campaign do not generally go hand in hand. I'd like to upgrade my first variation too. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
