Type 99s can be real tack drivers. I've found that a tight clamp-up against the barrel by the stock and barrel bands is what's needed.
I've never worked with a "last ditch" rifle though. |

Well smokey I already free floated the barrel, so I hope it shoots well.
Maybe bedding will help even more. I haven't taken it to the range yet..
so we'll see.  |

The 'factory' set up was definitely not free floated on the T 99.
