I just looked at several of my Type 99 hand guards, looking for inspection marks. Even with the aid of a magnifing glass, I soon became cross-eyed trying to read the marks. The Nogoya and Kokura became evident. Some of the hand guards had no marks. Did the Japanese quit using the marks after awhile or are these replacements?

I haven't looked at a lot of 99 handguards, seems like all that I have looked at have had inspection marks. Most of the 38 handguards that I've seen had inspection marks. Its on my to-do list. _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
