Here are some pictures of a Hoten (Mukden) 45th series Type 99, reported range is 00051 - 02610. One of the rarer Type 99 short rifles manufactured. This one makes 12 that have been reported.

overall condition appeared NRA wretched, from internet pictures, upon inspection, metal is very good, stock is similar except for being broken in 4 pieces internally.


'B' receiver (no type 99 markings) and mum. All reported have mums. Series mark (45th) above.


This is the second reported with dual Jinsen/Hoten arsenal marks.

Here are some shots of it with its cousin:


Note 00432 is 'A' receiver, and 00730 is a 'B' receiver.

In all two very rare pieces. I had resigned myself to never finding one. You just never know what will turn up. Keep hunting! Trey
