Watch the thrift stores, Goodwill stores, etc in your area. Occasionally you'll run across an old sterio equipment cabinet, glass front door, that with a little work will make a suitable 'goodie' display cabinet. Most are black so inteior needs to be painted white, sometimes shelves need to be added or moved. I have two, paid $3.00 for one and the other was going to be thrown in the tash, back gone, wobbly, but full glass front door, great for houseing knee mortars, this one free. |

Good point, not on the top of your head for once......Glass topped end tables and coffee tables can be fitted with 'shadow boxes' for display as well. Just be very carefull with spills. I inherited a few after hurricane Ivan, and see them from time to time at thrift stores. The boxes can be built with 1x3s and light wood paneling... I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.
