Here are some Japanese Muzzle covers I've come across over the years, trying to pick up a few more, if you have something I don't, let me know what it is and how much.

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

Nice selection of covers! I can't seem to find those real bakelite covers for anything & you have both variations! Lucky guy!
Here's what I have so far. I have one T-44 cover as well, but it's not in the photo.

I had to pay a fair amount for the bakelight, bought it at an auction at the Blevins shootout a few years back, luckily only one other guy was interested, at the time I thought $100 for any muzzle cover was buying it way too soon, but I just had to have it. That's something to think about for future shootouts, bring some extras for auctioning off. Its fun. I've got 2 44 muzzle covers, one with Kokura inspection, and one with both Nagoya and Kokura inspection marks....I'll try and get pictures up this week. Trey

My '44 cover is Kokura marked, so I need a Nagoya one.

Which of the muzzle covers in either picture would be the correct one for a Type-30 long rifle and Type-30 carbine? If one not pictured does anyone have a pic so I can see the difference? Would like a muzzle cover for my Type-30s that is unless the cover is going to cost more than I paid for the rifle and carbine.

counting from the top left in Arisakadogs picture:
#1 is for a type 30 and 35 per a-dogs post below. I think, 2 ,3, and 4 would probably be be for early 38 long rifle (no front sight guards), #5 would most likely go on a 30 carbine as well as early 38 carbines and all other 38s. Figure $100-$175 a piece maybe for brass with rotating sleeve, a little less for brass with L-shaped retaining arm. Trey

My top left one will fit the T-30 or T-35. They both have a shorter distance from the muzzle to the front sight than the T-38. I just heard from Frank Allan on this & he only knows of mine & one other, so I guess they are pretty darn hard to find. I got this one on e-bay thinking it was another T-38 cover & it didn't fit. Nice suprise!

You know I kind of figured a muzzle cover for my Type-30 would cost as much or more than I paid for the rifle itself. But I may put out the bucks if I can find one to complete the rifle as it still has a nice mum and original cleaning rod. Thanks for the info.
