My dad was in the 27th. Inf.Div. and was there also he brought back a sword and 99 rifle and bayonet back from there. Nice looking rifle you have there and good it is staying in the family

Bushido,

Do you know what regiment your father served? I have been researching the endeavors of the 27th on Saipan for a long time (ever since talking with my veteran friend who served in that unit). I've been to Saipan several times tracing the old battlefield.
