Never issued! Taken from a crate in a warehouse in Tokyo. Has antiaircraft sights and cleaning rod. May have 20 - 40 rounds fired through it by my father. Finish is very good! Serial # is high 6xxx. I can send digital photos. Fred

Fred, Welcome to the forum! Here are the pictures, I've asked for some more with a little better lighting and higher resolution. Asking Price is $2500, rifle looks pretty nice. Here's a portion of Fred's email:

I am the person who purchased to Type 2 Paratroper. I received it last weekend and could not be happier. I have seen people who sell rifles as "unissued" or "mint" Question , but this is the first rifle I have had that is truely mint Very Happy . The blueing on all parts is the dark, full and perfect. The wood has all it's original finish and is a bright orange with clear inspection marks on the stock. Even the screws are still staked. Full mum with matching dust cover. Very happy to have this rifle, now I need a mint sling and bayonet to match the rifle. Anyone have any paratrooper equipment for sale?
