Finally got the T38 School rifle out to the range today, first the good.It is still capable of acceptable accuracy maybe even excellant once I find a bullet and load it likes.Target from 50yds
The bad, looks like the firing pin spring is worn out,had to double strike almost all the rounds, fired brass looks good so I think the headspace is ok.When I had the bolt apart before, the spring did seem weak to me.All bolt #'s including the firing pin match.
Will most likely order a Wolfe spring unless you all recommend otherwise.
Once I get this problem solved I think I am really going to enjoy shooting this rifle.

Glad it worked out. You can get a Wolf spring, or contact one of the parts guys for an original. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
