Here is a 7/8 scale child's training rifle and accessories. It includes the child's training rifle, special use bayonet, paper covered cardboard ammunition pouches, sling, and ammunition. What I need now is a period military school boy's uniform with cap/helmet. What's really interesting about this rig is the rifle; the stock markings translate to Chuba Youth School (thanks Chip), but the entire right side of the stock, up to just above the fullers is peppered with shrapnel as well as portions of the sling. While the bayonet appears to be sharpened, it is still blunt, and after studying it and thinking about it for the last 10 years, it is probably just a different configuration. This rifle came home with a ground minty 26th series Type 38 with no battle damage.

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

Hey Chip,
I've looked at all the pictures of that Child's training bayonet and for the life of me can't figure out if it's to long, or is it standard? It just looks longer with the pointy tip, but then again, the measurements tell the story. Thanks again and look forward to your reply.

The camera was to the left or right each time, that will make it look longer (there's a very bad joke here somewhere). Overall bayonet length, pommel to tip is 15 1/8", overall blade length from crossguard to tip is 11 1/8". Serial# is ka 43. The edge is not sharpened, just has the last quarter of the front portion contoured forward of the fuller. Trey

Wasn't this the bayonet I sold to you about 6-7 years ago?
