I heard on another forum that the realized price was around $19K, not including commission.

Yes, a Japanese Pederson copy and a Nippon Steel prototype semi-auto were among the other offerings.

The "Garand" went for $22K (but it did come with a "last ditch bayonet!) . I was amazed that one Grandpa Nambu went for 24K, when the estimate was 5-8K. The Pedersen went for 24k and the Nippon went for 23K. I got to hold them and then pry them out of my fingers.
That was an incredible auction. |
