I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Really great seeing everyone and watching the Arisaka buying frenzy was more fun than talking with Doss. You really did pick up a few nice additions to your collection. How did you all do in the judging of the displays? I've really got to drag a host of stuff up there and do a weekend at the show. Say "Hey" to all. |

5th place was just fine ($150) paid for some new trench art (serving trays engraved with VE-Day, VJ-Day motiffs on each one and gave me a little extra to put on a bolt that I bought, I had to buy the whole rifle to get the bolt. I've got to quit doing that, (buying parts for a rifle I might come across one day). If anyone needs an early 0 series Nagoya 4 digit number, in a kokura stock/handguard with no bolt, goodies or screws, let me know....Lets call it a 'fixer upper'. Mum area has been gouged out.
Speaking of mums:
It was observed at the show that a mum is worth $400...2 similar rifles (99s?) $400 price difference, question was asked by Type-14 "What's the difference?" dealer's reply "One's got a mum"....There you have it, a mum on a 99 is worth $400, so, bring cash, and come get your mum's, I've got quite a few that I'd just rather not have to water.... _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
