I came across a dewatted possible 96 light machine gun. No markings other than a three digit S/N. Each component is stamped with the number. Did the LMG's have standard markings of some type or were they left pretty much plain? Another strange thing about it is the receiver is basically a steel tube with a lug to attach the trigger group. It does have all the other features of the 96. |

It's very likely a training machine gun. Can you post some photos to be sure?

Yes - I will post photo's soon. I did find a bit of info and it appears they came in all configurations. I am going to go over and disassemble it and give it a close inspection. |
