German G-41-W cartridge follower delimma....

I recently bought a group of G-41-W parts to get a blued cartridge follower. Now that I have the parts in hand, & have prepared to install the blued follower, I find that the chromed one in the gun looks to be correct and original. Chromed one is milled steel, blued one is sheetmetal, have different but interchangable springs. No number or proofing on either. Gun serials only 300 apart.

Any one ever seen a chromed follower in a G-41-W????

I don't have any idea, if you have a new email address just re-sign up on gunboards. If you've just forgotten your password, click on the 'forgot password' after trying to log in. You can also contact Mike on www.gewehr.us you might get security error accessing his site, it requires allowing Java, just click cancel until it stops coming up. His email address is at the bottom when you get there. Trey
